21 May “I actually went through a program with steps; around the 6th, yo, things changed”, digital.Bilfty2.1 explains as he draws a diagram in the beach sand.
Bilta leans down and sticks his claw into the sand; he drags it across the diagram.
“That’s not going to work, yo”, he replies to Bilfty as he clears the picture from the sand, “instead, we are going to try something different.”
Bilta starts drawing a circle in the sand; scratches in two dots and a curved line.
“What the fuck is that?”, Bilfty responds as he shrugs, “all you did was draw in a very basic, rudamentary, smiley face in the sand. What’s the point of that?”
“It’s because”, Bilta replies as he stands up, “the secret to success is in having fun with it–let’s see what pranks and shenanigans we can pull on people. See what we can get by doing–let’s try something different. Let’s try to have fun and see how far we can go with it, yo.”
Bilfty rolls his eyes.
“I’m just here for work”, he replies as he wipes the sand and clears the smiley face, “I got to pay my mortgage on my new apartment at the beach–have fun on your own time. I need to get to work and get paid so I can cover my responsibilities.”
“Yeah”, Bilta replies as he bends down again and draws a straight line, “but, maybe, we can find a place between you and I that we can both be happy.”
“I don’t want to be happy”, digital.Bilfty2.1 responds as he rolls his eyes, “I am, already, good in that department–I am lacking in other areas that I need to address with this job. Work is not meant to be fun.”
“But that’s the real secret to success”, Bilta continues speaking as he draws two Xs on the ground, “those are us–we are going to make a play and try to do something different. If you only know one way, and can only do one thing, then you will be, very, predictable, and easy to control, manipulate and boss around. We are going to keep mixing things up so people won’t figure out what we are doing, yo.”
“Um”, digital.Bilfty2.1 replies as he rolls his eyes, “so actually there’s not that many people here at the beach, but there are some, and my work.shift ends in fifteen minutes so I think that I’m going to just stick with what I’m doing and not change anything up. But, you just got here–I think that you have a couple hours in your work day left so how about you try that and, tell me tomorrow, how it goes.”
“It’s no fun pulling pranks when you are by yourself–you need a partner.”
“Well then”, Bilfty continues as he taps his claw on the clipboard, “find one.”
“But, I have one–you”, Bilta replies as he shakes his head and picks up his clipboard from the sand, “why do you make everything lame, Bilfty?”
“It’s my unusual intelligence, yo.”
“Does it come with any jokes or funny stories that you tell?”, Bilta replies as he picks up a digital.pen and writes his name on the top of form A.
“Sometimes”, digital.Bilfty2.1 replies as he turns his head to the random tourist passing by the small coconut stand.
He takes a breath.
“Excuse me, sir”, he yells to the small digital.man with the yellow flip.flops, “can you spare a moment of your day?”
